Freedom Now Yoga Studio and clothing boutique is situated in the heart of downtown Courtenay, on 5th Street in the beautiful Comox Valley, offering professional and attentive yoga instruction in a serene studio. An extensive boutique offers environmentally conscious, Canadian crafted fitness and casual clothing and yoga accessories.

Gary and Cindy Fort teach a meditative style of Yoga which, when you lay on the mat, transports you to that magical place: the PRESENT MOMENT. This immersion into the now helps you to release:
• the ‘fight and flight’ response that tension keeps us in;
• the pent up emotions from the past that keep the body guarded;
• and the conditioning of the past that keeps us regretting the past and fearing the future.

The body becomes supple and receptive to once again becoming an open channel of energy. Through the yoga postures and breathing exercises the respiration is improved, the circulation is increased, the muscles are strengthened and toned, the nervous system is nourished and stimulated, the toxins that poison the body are released and the endocrine system is balanced. You are simply returning to your natural state – perfect balance. Not only will you feel stronger, more healthy, calmer and centered; but others will notice and comment on your ‘glow’.
