For over 100 years, the Salvation Army has been operating family thrift stores in Canada. As Canada’s Original Thrift Store, we continue to offer excellent value at an affordable price.
Since 1995, the Salvation Army has operated its larger thrift stores in Canada’s major urban centers under the direction of The National Recycling Operations. Smaller more local stores continue to be operated by the local Salvation Army office in their communities.
Under this bold new direction, brighter, cleaner and more user friendly stores have begun to spring up across Canada as we respond to an increasingly competitive market with for-profit thrift retailers.
This positive and bold new approach to thrift retailing has thrust the Army into new and exciting opportunities to provide excellent value at a low cost.
