Downtown Courtenay plays host to a number of fun-filled special events throughout the year, including the annual Market Day in July and Moonlight Magic in November.
Market Day is the ultimate street market, where merchants and artisans fill the streets of downtown with unbeatable bargains. Add to this a fantastic line-up of musicians, dance troupes, theatre vignettes, face painting and more, and it's easy to see why Market Day is one of the Comox Valley's best annual events.
Come winter, Moonlight Magic is the event to get you into the holiday spirit. An all day shopping extravaganza, Moonlight Magic offers incredible pre-Christmas sales, as well as choirs, a street and tree lighting ceremony and more.
During the summer, head to Downtown Courtenay to experience the sights, sounds and tastes of the season. From June to the end of September, visitors can stock up on local produce and other fresh-from-the-farm goodies at the weekly Comox Valley Farmers' Market, held every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot at the corner of 4th Street and Duncan Avenue in Downtown Courtenay.
