CVAG Theatre Make-Up Workshop

Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes of a major theatrical production? Have you ever witnessed the hustle and bustle of the backstage crew as they worked hard to hit costume change cues and make-up fixes? If you’re interested in learning how to apply theatre make-up look no further. The Comox Valley Art Gallery is hosting a Theatre Make-Up Workshop this summer from July 28th, 29th and 30th from 2pm-4pm. If you’re between the ages of 12-18 you can sign up for Ria Ambrose’s riveting workshop which takes you through the essential steps of both male and female stage makeup techniques such as shading methods which change facial appearance and create character. Students will also learn old age make-up tricks and receive a mini-lesson in how to make simple wounds with wax or latex. The workshop is only $50 (supplies included) and classes are small so don’t delay in signing up for this highly anticipated class! FMI & registration call the Comox Valley Art Gallery @ (250) 338-6211 or visit our website at http://www.comoxvalleyartgallery.com
