Walk the Windows Winners!
And the winners are….!
Beginning the morning of “Christmas Magic” on November 20th, shoppers enjoyed 3 weeks to vote for their favourite decorated Christmas window displays in the Walk the Windows decorating contest in downtown Courtenay.
The winners are: 1st place Cody & Company; 2nd place Cardero Coffee and Tea; and 3rd place Shipwrecked on 6th.
Jan Bruce, owner of Cody & Company drew from all the voting ballots received to win the $1,000 shopping spree from the participating businesses. That lucky winner is Jo-Anne O’Toole who has until the end of December to make her selections.
“I encourage everyone to take a stroll around the downtown core and have a look at all the wonderful window displays,” said Michael Smale, President of the Downtown Courtenay Business Improvement Association (BIA) that sponsored the event with the Comox Valley Record. “Along with the Christmas lights and decorations, and the new decorations on our downtown Christmas Tree that the City of Courtenay Public Works put up, it creates a wonderful festive feel.”
